Hello people,

I haven't been on the board for so long it's crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I have one question (if I am late than sorry) why Carimi will not participate in the Montreal kompa fest?

Please someone answer if you can. I only go when Carimi is there and now that I know they will not be there I am SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CARIMI NEW CALEDONIA... OFFICIAL REVIEW AND PICS

Hey everyone,

I am sooo excited about what I have just experienced with the band... Not only where we the only act for the night, but it seems that the people have been waiting for Carimi for a while now... I am gonna try to make u guys live our first trip in new caledonia as it took us 2 days to get there and back and it was one of the most intense experience that we have had for a while now...

For those who don't know where it is, ck ur map to the right of Australia, way south of Japan next to islands like Tahiti, not too far from L.A. if u are in to 20 hour trips... it's about 10 times the size of Martinique with about 200,000 people... They are called Canack and look a lot like Hawaiian.. I have divided the activities into several folders and I will use this thread to post everything...

We left NY on wednesday morning June 3 in route to Japan... there we had to stay the night and only had time to go out to eat... I had posted those pics in another thread.

We finally arrived in Noumea at 10hpm on friday night June 5th and only had time to rest for the next day... The people here are super nice and the welcome with the flowers made me remember my trip to Maui...

Taking the time to update u from Japan on our way to New Caledonia... All I can say is there a whole other world out there and if u can u should ck it out... Japanese people are among the nicest we have met in our years of traveling.. I have posted some pics of us chilling last night after flying in, more to come...

Carimi in Paris .... Newssss ... Pics and Video

Hey wassup guys,

A little update... We arrived in Paris on Wednesday and we did some radios and Tv's... Thursday, we went to La foire de Paris where different countries like Guada, Tahiti, polynesie and other countries were portraying their culture... It's huge with 12 warehouses filled with stuff... there we had a chance to do live radios like Espace and Tropik and really interacted with fans... Little did we know that Carimi has a huge fan base in Polynesie and La reunion and people are waiting for us there like crazy... I think that we will explore these possibilities when we fly to Nouvelle Caledonie in early June...

We are also really excited that we have finally confirmed our first official tour in Africa... We had missed our 2004 Africa tour to Cote d'Ivoire, Abijan, Senegal and Benin and we are really excited about the prospect of this one... They will start a massive promo there and we will tour in about 6 to 8 months... Two ministers of Benin were here to meet with us and also a prominent business man who was sold after seing Carimi at Espace Venise...

On Thursday night , we performed with Beljazz that I muss say did a very good jab and we did our part for the second half of the show.... We were suppose to play in Lyon on friday night but it got canceled kuz due to recent violence in clubs, the city decided to shut down all clubs at midnight... we played an encore with Beljazz at a small venue called Mangove and took the road to Marseille on Saturday.... Marseille was great, moun yo pa negocie Carimi nan zone sa yo menm...

CARIMI EN FRANCE (+ Vido)

Bonjour,

Du Carimi pour nous encore, toujours et l'infini.... FCF tait l toujours aussi vivant et encore plus d'actualit.....

Nous tions Sarcelles, salle magnifique et grandiose. Avec nos garons en pleine formes, souriant et se prtant volonti aux sances de ddicaces et de Photos (Carlo, Mickael et Richard doivent avoir le visage transparent l'heure qu'il est )

Gros Bisous en passant Richard car nous n'avons mme pas eu le temps de te faire un petit coucou...mais le coeur y tait.

Pas de nouvelles chansons, mais les anciennes ont t chants avec ferveur et coeur. Et je dois dire que cela faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas pris autant mon pied et je crois que les fanatiks aussi. Et puis les garons taient dtendus, complices et en osmoses avec le public.

Les FCF ont par ailleurs retrouv avec Plaisir Anne, Une FCF qui est partie vivre en province et qui n'avait pas vu jouer CARIMI depuis 3 ans...les retrouvailles taient touchantes, je dois dire....Un vrai moment de plaisir.

Nous avons eu droit aussi une personnalit d'Afrique (Peut tre un futur contrat ? Qui sait ?)

Voil pour les news, tout en sachant que les garons ont jous, ASNIERES le lendemain et MARSEILLE le jour suivant.

Hey guys,

How is everyone, I know that we have been away from the board, site, myspace and everything for a little while now... but before u guys get on my case, let me tell you that we have been spending ridiculous amount of time in the studio preparing the new album... It is still too early to determine a date for the release but all I can say is wowww... I love what we have so far, the chemistry in the studio, the stuff that we have been laying out...

I know that this december is gonna be 3 years since the release of are u ready but we are confident that this album will be ready for sure somewhere before we celebrate our 8 years in November...

Be patient, we have a lot of good stuff coming up...
